Apple Rolls Out iOS 26.5 Update for iPhones

Apple has officially released iOS 26.5 with major privacy upgrades, new wallpapers, security patches, and smarter features for iPhone users worldwide. 

Note - The update is now available for iPhone 11 and newer models

Encrypted RCS Messaging Finally Arrives

The biggest highlight of iOS 26.5 is end-to-end encrypted RCS messaging between iPhone and Android users. Users now get better privacy, high-quality media sharing, typing indicators, and read receipts across platforms.

New Pride Luminance Wallpaper Added

Apple introduced a new “Pride Luminance” wallpaper with dynamic rainbow-style visuals that shift while unlocking the device 

Users can also customize colors for a more personalized look.

More Than 50 Security Flaws Fixed

The iOS 26.5 update patches over 50 security vulnerabilities, including issues related to WebKit, screenshots, Spotlight, and messaging systems. Experts recommend updating devices immediately for better protection.

Apple Maps now includes “Suggested Places,” showing trending nearby locations and personalized recommendations based on recent searches and user activity.

iOS 26.5 supports iPhone 11 through the latest iPhone 17 series. Users can install the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update while connected to Wi-Fi with at least 50% battery.
